A site dedicated to the Walkwitz Family
Walkwitz Aviation was founded back in the early 80's. It's founder, Ray Walkwitz had always had a passion for aviation, dating back to his early years in the mountains of the Philippines. There Ray would watch in awe as skilled bush pilots would land on "runways" carved from the mountain tops. He always dreamed of being a pilot. Many years later he started Walkwitz Aviation with the intent of training bush pilots and others to the highest skill level possible. Originally started in Ocala, Fl, Ray moved the business to Titusville in 1992 where he remained until his death, along with his family, on March 22nd 1998. The family has since sold the business, but will maintain the web site as a memorial to Ray, his family, and his passion. We are continuing to update the web site, so check back on occasion.
